TWICE
He made his debut on October 20, 2015 under JYP Entertainment, with the song "Like OOH-AHH". The group got that name because "twice" means "twice" in English, referring to the fact that they are going to conquer the public by both eyes and ears. They called their fans "ONCE" because it is the accompaniment of "TWICE", and because if they gave them love, they would give them double.
Red Velvet
Red Velvet debuted on August 1, 2014 with their single "Happiness" under S.M. Entertainment. The group started with members Seulgi, Irene, Wendy and Joy, but on March 11, 2015, Yeri was added as the fifth member. Its name is separated into "Red", which is for seduction and energy, and "Velvet", which is for velvet softness and elegance.
PENTAGON
They were introduced by the "Pentagon Maker" program, and debuted on October 10, 2016 with their song "Gorilla" under Cube Entertainment. Its name comes from the word "pentagon" because, like the number of sides of a pentagon, members want to achieve the 5 skills of singing/rapping, dancing, teamwork, talent and intelligence.
NCT
NCT debuted on July 7, 2016 on the stage of M! Countdown with "Fire Truck" and "Once Again" under SM entertainment. Its name stands for "Neo Culture Technology", because its concept is to open up and expand throughout the world without restrictions, and to make itself known all over the world.
Monsta X
Monsta X debuted on May 14, 2015 with the song "Trespass" under Starship Entertainment. The word "MONSTA" comes from two words together, the first is "Mon", which means "Me" in French and the second is "Sta", which is short for "star", while the "X" comes from "existence", referring to the fact that the group is an existing star.
